After participating in the and partnering with to show a Proof-of-Concept for Dataset Tokens on Solana, we intend to work towards a closed beta around the end of Q2 2023 (register ) for a bespoke community of data engineers, traders, and analysts.
Before this, we will implement the basic security measures to allow for safe usage of Fishnet, assuming truthful hosts:
Signature verification of user requests to the Fishnet API
Storing the time series data in encrypted blobs on the Executor VMs
Fishnet APIs will be deployed to Aleph nodes that are most trusted by the Fishnet team and hosted by the Aleph protocol developers.
Executor VMs will be deployed to multiple, high-stake Aleph nodes to test out data sharding methods as proposed earlier.
Once Aleph releases Confidential VMs for public use, we will migrate all of Fishnet's systems to use these VMs.
A central part of enabling true decentralization and increasing trust in Fishnet is the use of Consensus Sets, which are yet to be developed for Aleph. The Fishnet team works tirelessly on all parts of the stack, to bring decentralized monetization of datasets to the public by end of Q2.
In addition to the above roadmap, Fishnet plans to release GPU support by the end of Q3 to enable even faster processing of data.
Furthermore, by the beginning of 2024, Fishnet intends to support the , which will allow users to manage their data science workflows and leverage Federated Learning with ease.
